WELCOME TO DANFORTH HUNTING AND FISHING CLUB
FOUNDERS & PRESIDENTS
In 1993 a steering committee was formed for the purpose of establishing a place where friends coming from Pachino, in the Province of Siracusa, could gather and feel at home in our new hospitable country. The first place was opened at Danforth Ave in the city of Toronto, Ontario.
FOUNDERS
The first people that initiated and started the Danforth Hunting and Fishing Club were:
Joe Gatto & Corrado Buggea with the help of the following friends: Corrado Morana, Corrado Santacroce, Salvatore Sortino, Georgio Treberio, Franco Iozzia, Salvatore Agnello, Concetto Zuppardi, Joe Baggieri, Sebastiano Fazzina, Corrado Maucieri and a few other people.
Danforth Hunting and Fishing Club has no political association and it is a non profit organization consisting of a Democratic Association of volunteers, which encompass the Italian community of greater Toronto and all those who wish to join said Association.

In 2006, Salvatore Messina and The Board of Directors in conjunction with the members of Danforth hunting & Fishing Club, Initiated Few Social Activity with our Family, at BIRKDALE Community Center, located at 1299 Ellesmere Rd in Scarborough; we have a reunion every Friday night together with our wife. During the evening we play various games; Bingo, Cards, Rummy-o, Gettoni, and Line Dancing Lesson. We also have a few special events; Casino Trips, and dances throughout the year such as Valentine, Mother & Father Day Party, Halloween, Spring Dance, Christmas Dance, Hunting & Fishing Trips, Trap Shooting Tournaments and Summer Picnics. On other nights we may have Spaghetti Night, Pizza Night & other Surprise Events.
In the Fall of 2021 the board of Directors decided to move the Reunion to ELESMERE Center, located at 20 Canadian Road in Scarborough and we meet every WEDNESDAY.
